Mia-Care conquers the Berliner Innovation Hub thanks to the SMAU Startup Network
Mia-Care joined the “SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Berlin” as one of the 40 selected Italian startups within the SMAU Startup Network.
Milan, April 2022 – With over 50,000 companies from all sectors involved each year, SMAU is the most structured meeting and matching platform dedicated to innovation and startups in Italy.
Every year the association organizes an annual Roadshow of local events, an international event in Milan and events abroad in Paris, Berlin and London.
Only a limited number of startups (40) get the opportunity to participate in one of the events in Europe, and this year Mia-Care was chosen to attend the roadshow “SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Berlin” from April 28th to 30th.
The purpose of the event, as Pierantonio Macola, President of SMAU, states, is: “to introduce the innovative excellence of “Made In Italy” to Berliner entrepreneurs, investors and managers invited to the exhibition. Italy is best known in the world for its excellence in food, fashion, and design, and Smau | Italy Restarts UP in Berlin will be the occasion to activate trade relations, partnerships and investments between the various international ecosystem professionals that will visit the event and those from Italy taking part in the initiative”.
Mia-Care had the chance to pitch to present its innovative product in front of a wide audience of Accelerators, Investors, Startups and other organizations.
In fact, the goal of SMAU | Italy RestartsUp in Berlin is to create a bridge between the Italian Innovation Ecosystem, the Berliner Hub and also the German Market. Investors and corporations can find new ideas, investment opportunities and business partners in Italian startups.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging German investors and entrepreneurs to find out how Italian startups and incubators are currently rapidly expanding while offering crucial tools for business innovation serving as a bridge between companies and the research world.
The event consisted of:
- April 27th: evening reception at the Italian Embassy in Berlin;
- April 28th: full day business event (panels & B2B meetings) at work;
- April 29th: a tour of some of the places where innovation happens, with visits to incubators and accelerators in the city.
